It’s Official!

It’s official, since starting my journey on Dec 28th 2011 (278.2lb), I have now lost 40lbs! When I stepped on the scale this morning I was a little surprised to see this…

Some how now being in the 230’s has just reinfored the realization, that I am getting smaller everyday, and that my goal is getting even closer! I know this number may be different tomorrow as we all change so much from day to day, but this is the proof that I can do it and that the “number” keeps going down!

What’s even better is that I now can look down at my legs (thighs) and I actually notice a difference – they’re smaller! When I started at Urban Wellness my waist measurement was 48.25 inches, now its 40 inches.

Challenge Week 3: Wrap Up & Weigh In

I forgot to snap a photo of the measurement chart on Friday :( The good news is I lost another pound a couple inches! I’ll be sure to snap one next week for sure!

This burning 500 calories a day is now starting to feel like it fits perfectly within my life, its no longer something I have to do – I actually want to. The past 3 weeks I’ve managed to keep to my 6 day plan with 1 rest day.

I’m going to try and photograph the scale each morning this week to see how much things change from day to day – just for curiosity sake more than anything.

Weigh-In Wednesday {April 11} A GOAL REACHED!

Today I had a pleasant surprise at my WW Weigh-In: I met my 10% weight loss goal! Since Dec 28th, 2011 I’ve lots 29.7lbs and over 26inches! I’ve done this with proper nutrition, my awesome trainer Danielle from Urban Wellness Studio and the newest addition to my “team” is the Bob Harper Live Workouts. I think with the addition of the BH workouts last week it helped me burst the weightloss plateau I had hit. Inches were still coming off but the pounds had stalled slightly.

There is NO quick way to do this and over 16 weeks I’ve lost an average of 1.8lbs per week. I think I’m well on my way to 199lbs by August 1st goal!

Weigh-In Wednesday

Wow it’s Wednesday again! I dragged my butt to WW today for my weigh-in – I almost ‘called in sick’ today, like I said in my earlier post today I was in one heck of a mood and just didn’t feel like going. This past week has been full of all kinds of activity which is awesome, but it was also full of eating past my dinner which isn’t normal for me, however, that being said I still lost 0.7lbs which in my books is better than 0, so I’m happy.

This week I resolve to:

  1. Return to my normal eating pattern (no snacks after dinner)
  2. Front load my day with carbs and cut them out after lunch
  3. Fruit must be eaten before lunch, unless its preventing me from eating something junky :)
  4. I will see a 2lb + loss next week
  5. Tea after 5pm must be herbal w/ no sugar!

Weigh-In Wednesday: March 28th

After a bit of a rough week at my previous weigh-in I resolved to work even harder this past week and was sure I would see a loss! I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I stepped on the scaled and saw a nice loss of 1.9lbs! I hit a major milestone officially today…25lbs GONE forever! Normally on Wednesday after my weigh-in I’m a little more lax with myself that day in regards to choices and tracking – today, I resolved to treat it the same as any other day and just STAY COMMITTED.

At this point in my journey I’m starting to waiver on weather I really need to drive across town to step on a scale once a week for $51.95/month. I love the WW system and I’m thinking since I have plenty of people who hold me accountable every wednesday requiring me to check in with them, I will drop my subscription down to just the e-tools for $17.95/month – much more affordable! I also joined the new fitness club and I’m super pumped for what that will bring to my workout routine!

I’m starting to notice some changes in the way I look which is always rewarding! I’m working on some before & now & after photos to post – Stay Tuned!

ummm…Weigh-In Wednesday (a week-ish late)

Oh hi there! Things have been picking up at work so I’m trying to keep on top of the blogging! At my weekly weigh-in last Wednesday (March 14), it was a great week…1.6lbs GONE! My eating that week prior hadn’t been too stellar and I was slacking in the tracking department so I was pleasantly surprise with the 1.6lbs. I also had my final measurements for the ‘Inches Lost” challenge on Wednesday night – a total of 16.5 inches lost over 8 weeks! I find out this Wednesday if I won the challenge!

Also, I just noticed I’m closing in on my 10% goal – super pumped and I’m hoping to hit that this week! I’m also going to attempt to cut WAY back on added-sugar. I have sugar in my tea and I drink about 4 cups a day, so I’m hoping to cut the sugar in half.

Exercising is getting easier and I’m finding my body is starting to crave it – and I actually like doing it! WIN!!
