Well it appears that I’ve finally got my groove back in the workout department and I couldn’t be happier. Yesterday was my Double Decker workout at the gym so I made sure I was prepared for the long haul! I made my new favorite Butter Cream Toffee & Peanut Butter Shake and put it in the freezer for a while and then put it and some veggies in my PackIt cooler so I’d have it on my break in between workouts.
As I’ve mentioned before I’m in a competition at my gym to win a grand prize of $10,000! Last time with about 30 days left I started my 2/day workouts. This time I’ve kicked it up a notch and dialed in my eating and I’m making sure that I’m eating enough and the proper things. I’m back to using MyFitnessPal and I’m okay with it for now. It’s a huge help keeping things in balance!
Man was I exhausted after that workout! It was awesome and I “left no doubt” as my trainer would say. I gave both workouts all I had!
I stopped on my way home for some fresh fuel including raspberries and a watermelon. I managed to save the watermelon until this morning for breakfast and as a reward for this awesome weigh in….
So like I mentioned I treated myself (& Sullivan) to this tasty treat as part of breakfast!
Today I was considering taking a “rest” day but then I got a little extra drive from somewhere and I headed to the gym after work. I’ve started mixing up my cardio so I spent some time on the elliptical and then thought I’d try the spin bike for 20 minutes. I felt awesome after and really felt like I could keep going – plus I got to watch Saved By The Bell while I was on the elliptical.
BOOM! I’m back baby and I’m super psyched! Can’t wait until tomorrow’s session! Have you ever lost your workout groove? How did you find it?











Hooray for being back! I’ve been feeling in a bit of a funk the last few weeks but I think I’m getting my groove back too. Life gets so stressful sometimes and I think we just need a mental break ya know?
