Passion & Purpose.

“Punch with passion. Punch with purpose.” Rob shouts as we are all pounding our TKO bags, he repeats, “Passion and purpose.” Then you feel yourself punching and kicking with just the little extra effort that was hiding down deep – that you didn’t think you had.

With Passion. With Purpose.

I’ve been to kickboxing 3 times since Saturday and have found a renewed love for cardio and look forward to the classes – I wish they were offered more often! I’m lucky enough to have my personal trainer actually teaching the classes. Rob actually trains boxers so I feel privileged to be taking this class with him – maybe one day you’ll see me in the ring!

I wish I had photos to share with you but we’re not supposed to take photos at the gym :( So let’s create a visual….Picture me round house kicking a TKO bag and looking something fierce! I love kicking that bag! It’s such a rush…and burns 600+ calories in just under an hour.

Today’s kickboxing session was AFTER my personal training session….this “fight” is 10 rounds, each round is 3 minutes. At about round 3 I started to think about quitting, I had “no gas in the tank” to finish…or so I thought. I told myself that at round 5 I could call it a day and be okay with that. I should have known better – I’m a fighter and I couldn’t quit as Rob walks around and yells “Leave NO Doubt!” “With Passion. With Purpose.”, how do you quit when you hear things like that. I made it through all 10 rounds and I felt great after, I knew I truly had no “gas” left and I was spent.

Usually average 100cal=10min. Love how this is more!

I’ve also renewed my commitment to wheat free/paleo eating and thanks to my mom and my friend Kathryn I’ve stuck to it 100% of the last 3 days and I have no desire to “cheat”. I feel renewed which is nice at this point in my journey….the “finish line” is in sight.

What sport/activity motivates you? Do you have someone special in your life that pushes you in your workouts and makes you give it your all?

REMEMBER – NO EXCUSES!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!

This post makes me so sad I missed last night! My daughter was sick and needed to go to the Dr. Sigh…hate that it’s not offered more regularly :) . Kickboxing is awesome…it was fun doing it with you although you did leave me in constant fear that you would kick the bag right over on me ;) . Lol. Strong lady.

Thanks Jamie :) I missed you last night – I kept hoping every person to walk in would be you. Sharing a bag with someone is nice as you have someone to keep you going and push you harder! Saturday?

  2. Love this. Finding passion and purpose makes working hard seem like less work. I’ve been struggling with my journey lately – trying to figure it all out. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is awesome!
